Specifically designed for use on solid wood, the Badger Paddle Wood Oil is perfect for use on paddles, canoe gunwales, yokes, thwarts and other wood. Made from 100% pure Canadian hempseed oil Badger Oil has now additional chemicals or solvents, making it environmentally friendly with no toxic vapours and safe to use on wood which comes into contact with food.
Penetrating deeply into the wood, the Badger Oil allows the wood to breathe and be resilient to mildew and mould. Once thoroughly dried the oil is water-resistant and will extend the life of your paddle or outfitting.
As with most oiled canoe paddles and parts these are supplied pre-oiled making them ready to go straight away, how often you should re-apply oil does of course depend on how frequently it is used, how and where it is stored and the extent which it is exposed to the elements. However, re-oiling your paddles, gunwales and woodwork will extend its life and keep it in best condition for longer.
