The Enigma Canoes Square Stern 126 is designed in keeping with an ever popular style of canoe; short, stable and, as the name suggests, features a square transom at the stern ready for a small motor. Based from the stable and popular Tripper 14 model the Square Stern is capable of doing some of everything on the water, the Square Stern 126 can be paddled as a canoe with traditional canoe paddles, rowed as a small rowing boat (thanks to the oarlock sockets on the vinyl gunwales, please note oarlocks are not supplied as standard) or indeed propelled with a small motor on the rear. The Square Stern will consistently feel stable and an easy platform to be out on the water in.

The hull features a full-length keel rib, which adds structural rigidity to the already hard wearing construction, but also assists with tracking and results in the 126 performing exceptionally in a straight line. The hull otherwise is largely flat, a benefit which leads to increased stability, particularly when married with the wide stature of the canoe.

Lending itself well to a calm condition fishing canoe, the Square Stern 126 can comfortably accommodate the equipment for multiple anglers out on the water, while the stability allows for those who wish to stand and cast the opportunity to do so.

Constructed of triple layer plastic the Square Stern 126 is extremely durable, resistant to warping and features an internal foam-core to add latent buoyancy without any outfitting required. Fitted as standard with three wood-web seats, the 126 boasts plenty of internal space, indeed the wide central seat perfectly situated for rowing and the rear idea for operating the transom.

If you wish to use this canoe with a motor we would recommend either a small electric outboard motor or a petrol motor up to 4hp.
