Gumotex Framura

The Gumotex Framura is the fastest kayak in the Gumotex range. It is a sleek solo touring "Sit In" inflatable kayak with a fixed deck cover. Measuring 4.1 metres and with a max load capacity of 180kg, it is suitable for longer paddling trips and overnight expeditions. With plenty of gear space, a fast V shaped hull, a clip on skeg and the option of attaching a spray deck (included) for rougher weather conditions, the Framura is an inflatable you can keep paddling all day in varying conditions.

It is at home on inland waterways, (lakes, canals, gentle rivers and other waterways). On a calm day, the Framura can also be taken along sheltered coastlines to explore inaccessible beaches and coves. The Framura is also great fun, and surprisingly competent, in gentle whitewater making it ideal for longer river journeys with occasional rapids.

The included rudder system is controlled via tilting footrests and improves performance when paddling in currents, choppy water or gentle cross winds. The non-removable closed deck makes set up quicker and is braced with four aluminium bars to keep the deck shape. This provides a drier, warmer ride for the paddler. For an even drier paddle, just attach the spray deck. Underneath the hull cover you will find a seat is securely fixed in and comfortable enough for longer tours. There is also plenty of space for storage and zipped 'hatches' in the bow and stern to allow easy access for placement and retrieval of gear - great if you are planning an overnight camp! Deck bungees can be used for quick access items and there are deck lines for safety. There is a rubber handle at each end and a drain hole in the stern deck for emptying any stray drops.

The tough Nitrilon construction means the Framura is light, durable and easily dried after use. At the end of the day, this fun and fast inflatable touring kayak rolls up into a waterproof bag and can be put into even a fairly small car boot, or stored away in your motorhome, boat or at home in the garage, shed or bedroom!
