Gumotex Scout

The Gumotex Scout is the largest inflatable canoe in the Gumotex range and can seat three adults or two adults and two children with ease. Great for relaxed days out with the family but also suitable for more demanding paddling on moving water. Strongly constructed of Nitrilon fabric with high freeboard and large protective bows, the Scout is 4.5m long and is more than capable of covering the distance for paddling adventures on lakes, rivers, reservoirs and interlinked inland waterways. A fantastic craft for tandem paddling and family adventures, but can be paddled solo too from the centre seating position.

With a 450kg max load capacity it makes a great multi-day camping craft too. Two children can sit side by side on the middle seat and there is still plenty of space for a picnic!  The Scout has strong handles on the bow and stern as well as a painter already fitted.

A traditional open canoe, whilst a thing of beauty, can be heavy and awkward to lift on the roof of your vehicle and down to the water. If this is the only thing stopping you getting out for a days paddle then consider the Gumotex Scout – it might be just what you are searching for!

Gumotex Eco+

The basic version of the Scout and great for general day trips on flat waters and includes the following features:

• Seats made of flat plywood with anti-slip surface
• Grab handles for easy handling
• Safety ropes on the bow and stern
• Binding rope in the bow and stern
• Push-push inflation valves
• Safety relief valve in the bottom of the boat
• Repair kit.

Gumotex Scout Standard

The Scout Standard is a full sized open canoe complete with so many features that this range topper from Gumotex is competition, not just for other inflatables but holds its own against rigid canoes as well. Supplied with three cushioned wooden seats which are not only bolted to the sides but also supported by aluminium T-bones, which ensure the whole structure is rock solid for the best performance. The Scout is rated for up to grade 2 moving water and comes with thigh straps and a self draining floor along with webbing to tie down your gear securely if you fancy running some rapids!

The Scout Standard is just as at home on flat water and lakes and with its high freeboard and large volume makes a very stable and dry family canoe for river expeditions or journeys across the lake. 

The Scout Standard comes with a strong waterproof transport bag to store the canoe in and despite its size can be folded down and will easily fit in the boot of your car.
