Gumotex Seawave

The Gumotex Seawave is an excellent versatile inflatable kayak for sea use and inland waterways. It can be configured for 1 , 2 or 3 people and can be combined with the optional Sea Wave kit, adding removable decks, spraydecks and a rudder to make it expedition ready. Ideal for a wide range of paddling situations.

The Seawave is the longest of the Gumotex range at 4.5m, the hull is slightly v-shaped with a finer bow entry than many inflatable designs. There are two seats included as standard which allow plenty of room for two tall adults plus a couple of large drybags for gear. A third seat can be purchased as an optional extra and will enable a child to come along when the full deco cover is not being used.

The optional cockpit kits (one or two person) can be installed in a couple of minutes by attaching 4 aluminum bars, sliding 1 or 2 plastic cockpit rims  and then attaching the deck to the kayak sides with the strong double sided velcro built into the kayak. This transforms the Seawave into an expedition ready sea kayak, the bars and deck make the Seawave rigid enough for nylon spraydecks to be used fully enclosing the paddler and protecting from the elements in a way that most inflatables simply cannot manage. For even more control there is an optional foot operated swing up rudder kit.

The whole package can be folded up into the included waterproof Transport Bag and carried in the boot of even a small hatchback.

The Gumotex Seawave is a tough no compromise  sea kayak which will suit a huge variety of paddling situations from messing around on a hot summers afternoon with the children in its open configuration to serious long distance multi-day touring on lakes, rivers or in calm coastal conditions with a cockpit kit attached. A great all-rounder for years of fun on the water.
