Description
The Gumotex Solar is a strong and dependable 2+1 inflatable kayak which will carry two large adults with room for a child or plenty of gear. It can also be paddled solo by using the centre seating position. Ideal for taking on holiday and using on lakes, rivers or calmer coastal waters as well as moving water to grade 2.
An old faithful of the Gumotex line, the Solar is made from tough Nitrilon fabric which dries easily and can be compactly folded repeatedly as its constructed from rubber and contains no PVC. The Solar comes with two seats as standard but a third seat can be purchased as an optional extra if needed for a child. There is also the option of adding a front spray cover to give a little more protection for the front paddler in rougher water – the Solar can be used in moving water up to grade 2. The three chambers are individually inflated using the included adaptor and there is a pressure relief valve to prevent over inflation of the floor (we recommend a pressure gauge for more accurate inflation). The kayak comes with a waterproof Transport bag to ensure your car boot is kept dry after use and easy transportation to and from the water.
Sitting in the middle of the Gumotex tandem Kayak range, The Solar is slightly longer than the Twist 2.1 and is better suited to larger paddlers ,families with young children or those who just need a bit more room. It is ideal for use on most water including calm coastal conditions, Lakes, rivers and estuaries.
