Description
The compact Gumotex Twist 2 is the lightest Gumotex tandem kayaks, it packs down to an astonishingly small size yet can easily accommodate 2 adults for comfortable paddling on rivers, lakes or calmer coastal waters. The Twist 2.1 can also be used as single kayak with more space for gear.
Simply take out of the drawstring bag and unroll. The seats and footrest are already attached, slide in the plastic skeg, connect the pump to each of the three proprietary push-push valves in turn and after a short inflation time you have a double kayak capable of transporting two adults with ease. The seats can easily be blown up by mouth or using a pump and take just a few minutes.
The floor panel has an overpressure valve to ensure a safe pressure and the valves have a positive click mechanism with the supplied pump adaptor. The hull is made from high strength Nitrilon which means there is no need for internal bladders - the kayak is less prone to failure and dries much quicker as a result due to the material. The Twist is supplied with 2 seats but one can be removed and there is an additional seating position in the centre for when using the kayak with only one person.
The Gumotex Twist packs down incredibly well weighing only 13kg and can easily be carried in a rucksack which means travelling by public transport is perfectly feasible.
If you are looking for a robust simple two person kayak to get you out on the water with a minimum of fuss then a Twist 2.1 is a great option that won’t break the bank yet should last many years of fun.
