The Passport 12.0 is the entry-level fishing kayak from Hobie. You get all the benefits of the incredible Hobie Mirage Drive so that you can cruise the waters quickly and efficiently, but in a kayak that has a simplified feature-set to keep the price down. All the essentials are still present so that you can get on the water and have some fun! The hull design offers excellent levels of stability with plenty of space to carry your tackle and catch. This kayak is well suited for use on coastal waters and inland waters for both kayak fishing and general touring and exploring fun.

The Passport 12.0 features the Hobie Mirage Drive GT with Kick-Up Fins. This drives features roller bearings at the major pivot points for smooth pedalling action. The kick-up fins will kick up out of the way should you strike an object underwater - this greatly reduces the chance of damaging the fins. The pedal arms on the drive can be set at various positions to suit users of different heights.

The hull is constructed from two-tone thermoformed plastic and has the essential features needed to get you out on the water. A removable raised mesh seat offers comfort for all-day pedalling. The rudder system functions with a push-pull rod and is operated via a steering handle right next to the seat, making it easy to navigate your way through the water. The rudder requires manual deployment and hauling upon launching and landing. 

A centre 8" Twist-N-Seal hatch is located just in front of the seat giving access to the inside of the hull for storage. Either side of this, EVA deck pads are fitted for stand up fishing techniques. A large rear cargo area with bungees offers plenty of space for a crate of fishing gear. Further storage space can be found on the bow with enough room to accommodate a small fish bag. Two flush mounted rod holders are fitted behind the seat. Accessory tracks can be found either side of cockpit allowing for easy addition of track-mounted accessories such as additional rod holders or a fish finder mount. A vertical accessory tube is found on the bow for adding the optional Hobie Sail Kit and other accessories. The Passport 12.0 has a transducer scupper recess on the under-hull for easy transducer attachment so most popular fish finder models. A separate fish finder fitting kit is available to make installation of fish finder wiring straight forwards.
