Werner Cyprus (Bent Shaft)

The Werner Cyprus is the most advanced performance touring paddle from Werner. Mid-sized carbon blades are fixed onto an elliptical carbon shaft with a neutral bent shaft. These mid-sized blades deliver moderate power allowing the user to cruise along comfortably while taking less energy to draw through the water.

The cranked shaft creates a more natural position for wrist alignment and reduces the fatigue felt through the wrists, particularly on longer paddling journeys or multi-day trips. The fully carbon construction minimises weight as much as possible while giving exceptional strength while the foam-core in the blades creates a buoyant and snappy clean release on each paddle stroke. The extra buoyancy from the foam-core paddles also results in additional support while bracing, and an assistance to keep the paddle on the water surface when rolling.

With Werner’s patented adjustable ferrule system in the centre of the shaft, the Cyprus’s can be split into two pieces for ease of transportation and storage. The “Smart-View” viewer gives the ease of choosing a precise feather angle on 15-degree increments between 0 and 60 degrees, suitable for either left or right-handed paddlers the Cyprus can be adjusted to suit.
