The Enigma Prospector 16 is renowned within the canoeing world, based on a deeply traditional Canadian canoe design made, manufactured and assembled here in the UK. The Prospector 16 is an all-round, family orientated, general purpose canoe. Versatile enough to handle most UK waterways with sufficient loading capacity for expedition style paddling.

With an easy to paddle rounded hull shape with soft lines and ample rocker the Prospector 16 is a surprisingly agile canoe considering its length. This underhull shape also allows for fantastic stability, both as you initially get into the boat and also once the boat starts to get moving. With the high sides giving more chance of a drier ride and extra volume for carrying larger loads. The Prospector 16 is made with triple layer polyethylene construction making the canoe incredibly hard wearing and durable. This triple layer construction features two solid plastic layers surrounding a foam core matting, which gives the canoe extra rigidity and additional buoyancy.

While perfectly suitable for exploring the extensive UK canal network the Prospector comes into its own when used in moving water. Capable of handling good sized waves and rapids, the Prospector rocker shape and high sides provides a dryer ride to the paddler. Outfitted with comfortable wooden webbed seats, a wooden carrying yoke and thwart for additional stiffness to the hull, the Prospector 16 is fantastic all round canoe which will see you out on the water wherever you choose to go.
