An independent canoe for solo adventures, the Fox 14 is set up as a one man and his dog boat, with sufficient room for overnight trips or carrying a decent load on a touring expedition. If you are after the option of carrying a second passenger then the Nova Craft Bob Special 15' or Pal 16’ are marginally longer canoes better suited for tandem paddling.

Outfitted with a single seat, two stiffening thwarts, ash handles at either end and integrated buoyancy chambers at bow and stern the Fox is impossible to sink. The seat positioning just aft of the narrow centre is comfortable for paddling from either seated or the traditional kneeling position, but can also accommodate paddlers who prefer to use a kayak paddle.

Made from Nova Craft's TuffStuff composite materials the Fox is light and durable. Weighing in under 20kgs carrying it around is remarkably easy, while the vinylester resin gives outstanding impact resistance.
