Description
The Feelfree Roamer 1 is a great choice for all round Sit on Top Kayaking. It is ideal for fun at the beach and on gentle inland waters including canals and slow moving rivers. The deck is well designed with a comfortable seating position, moulded back support and deep foot wells. The rear storage hatch on the Roamer 1 is useful and as with all sit-on-top kayaks we recommend you use a dry bag to keep your gear dry.
The Roamer 1 has a raised bow with a V profile which cuts through the water and rides the chop well. The keel line provides enough straight line tracking performance whilst still making the boat easy to turn. If you are using the Roamer 1 in surf at the beach then we recommend using the Feelfree Padded Thigh Straps for extra control in the surf.
Like all Sit-on-tops, the Roamer 1 is self draining by means of scupper holes and at 18kg the Roamer 1 is lightweight and easy to put on top of a car. This is a great kayak for newcomers to kayaking and provides the stability and ease of handling to allow you to build your confidence and paddling ability.
The Feelfree Roamer is available in two different packages:
Deluxe Package
This comes with a Feelfree Deluxe Seat and a Feelfree Day Tourer Fibreglass Shaft Paddle. The Deluxe Seat wraps around the paddlers hips providing great back support and connection to the kayak, with good cushioning for all-day comfort. The fibreglass shaft paddle offers a nice lightweight option that is warm to the touch - a great option for all-day paddling.
Standard Package
This comes with a Canvas Seat and a Feelfree Day Tourer Alloy Shaft Paddle. The Canvas Seat is a low-style backrest for good lower back comfort. The alloy shaft paddle is a little heavier than the deluxe fibreglass paddles and will be colder to the touch in colder sessions, but overall a good quality paddle.
