Which Thule Foot Pack Do I Need?
The correct Thule foot pack is determined primarily by your vehicle's roof type. Most vehicles fall into one of the following categories:
Raised Roof Rails Raised rails run from front to back along the vehicle roof with a visible gap underneath. Thule raised rail foot packs clamp directly around these existing rails and are commonly found on SUVs, estates and crossover vehicles.
Flush Roof Rails Flush rails also run along the length of the vehicle but sit directly against the roof without a gap underneath. These require a compatible Thule flush rail foot pack and, depending on the vehicle, the appropriate fitting components.
Fix Points Some vehicles have dedicated mounting points built into the roof, often concealed beneath small covers. A Thule Fixpoint foot pack connects the roof rack to these factory mounting locations using the appropriate vehicle-specific fitting kit.
Plain or Normal Roofs If your vehicle has no rails or visible mounting points, it may require a Thule clamp-style foot pack. These systems normally use a vehicle-specific Thule fitting kit to securely attach the roof rack around the upper door frame.
