Designed for sea kayakers and touring kayaking as an easy-to-use location to spare a split paddle, the North Water Scabbards offer increased versatility over the shorter britches. With 6 connection tabs to secure to the kayaks decklines (either by un-threading the decklines or using karabiners/ cable ties) the North Water Scabbards offer unparallel security for spare paddles. While the central fastening clips allow for access to hatches even if the scabbards are secured across the cover.
The North Water Scabbards are also increasingly popular with kayak anglers in order to protect rod tips, especially in surf launches and landings. If fastening to a kayak without decklines attach to the hull with pad eyes.
