A traditional shaped Ottertail paddle constructed of one single piece of wood. Best suited for deep water paddling, the Tripper paddle is the best-selling model from Badger and is perfect for use either solo or tandem in the canoe in lakes, lochs or broads across the UK.
With an elongated blade the Tripper paddle allows for a smooth, quiet paddle stroke while the substantial surface area of the blade gives a good propulsion and works well for a wide range of paddlers.
These hand-made Canadian canoe paddles are constructed of oiled Cherrywood, a beautiful material for canoe paddles thanks to the close-grained nature, this leads to a strong, light and easy to use paddle, less prone to rot than some other hardwoods. Cherry remains amongst the most popular choice of wood for a canoe paddle with a deep rich colour and a natural flex when pressure is applied. With a dihedral transitional ridge along the side of the paddle, there is no shortage in craftsmanship from Badger Paddles. This ridge will allow for a smoother draw on the paddle with the centre of the paddle stiffer and thinner edges for more flex and an easier slice through the water if using traditional paddle strokes.
Also available in a limited Forest Edition, the Badge Tripper – Forest Edition, offers the same great finish and attention to detail. But marked with a unique engraving of a Cherry Tree growing from a canoe paddle, this is to reflect Badgers partnership with One Tree Planted and every sale will be met with a seedling being planted on reforestation projects across the globe.
Each Badger Tripper is supplied with a protective paddle sock for transportation and storage. For best maintenance to your Badger Paddle, we would recommend using Badger Paddles Canoe Paddle Oil.
