Providing a strong hold against plastic kayak hulls, or canoe gunwales. The shaft of the rivet is designed to play into 3 when compressed allowing for greater hold and a more solid join than a standard pop-rivet, which could fail and pull through the plastic when applied under pressure.
Perfect for installation in locations where you do not have access for a conventional nut and bolt, and great for installing fixtures such as pad eyes, cleats, or indeed replacement gunwales or other fixed hardware in your canoe or kayak.
Requires a pop-rivets gun for use, not included. We recommend the use of a sealant when fixing any accessories to a kayak to minimise and prevent water ingress. Also requires a 5mm or 3/16” hole. These rivets will fit a pad-eye fitting, 5.0mm thick, to hulls up to 7.0mm in thickness. Finished in a neat black domed head.
