Description
The Riot Thunder is a classic river runner, based off a tried and tested design. The Thunder is a kayak which can inspire confidence and enable a chance to build skills from the beginnings of getting down white water safely through to more technical moves.
The Thunder has a semi-planning hull which makes it extremely agile and easy to manoeuvre breaking in and out of eddy lines, while bevelled edge rails give some downstream tracking and all for the build up of speed to punch through stoppers, retain stability and when stopping to surf in a hole (intentionally or otherwise) give a comfortable edge to lean on.
With volume being well distributed across the kayak, with more at the bow which combined with a flaring rocker is there to help nail boofing strokes, punch through stoppers and giving a faster resurface after drops (again increasing stability) while the stern maintains a good volume level too going some way to minimise unexpected tail squirts.
With a comfortable seat and easy to adjust outfitting, the Thunder can easily accommodate a wide range of paddlers of various sizes. With an adjustable full bulkhead footplate, adjustable thigh braces, a ratcheted back band and a sliding seat for optimum comfort. The Thunder will give exceptional connectivity and limit the user from un-wanted movement inside the kayak. Complete with both bow and stern airbags the Riot Thunder is river ready and even in a swim will help displace water and assist in an easier recovery of the boat.
