Swift Canoes Prospector 15 - Solo

The Swift Canoes Prospector 15 Solo is the ideal single person lightweight open canoe for paddlers looking to multi day expedition, load up the canoe with gear or for larger paddlers wanting a more stable versatile boat. Thanks to the minimal 2" of rocker at both the bow and stern of the canoe the Prospector 15 Solo is able to cut through the water and in the right hand hold a nice line. The slightly rounded chines give the ability for waves to roll under the hull, whilst the tumble-home to the top of the Gunwales ensures wind rolls over the top. This tucked in tumble-home to the top of the freeboard stops the feeling of having to reach over the canoes side to get to the water, this gives the paddler the ability to gain a better more efficient paddle stroke.

The lightweight nature of all Swift Canoes ensures paddlers are not only able to car top the Prospector 15 - Solo with ease but also ensure that moving the boat to and from the water or on portages is far easier than any other canoe.

The Kevlar Fusion construction of the Prospector 15 - Solo offers the best strength to weight ratio of any material in the Swift Canoes laminate range. The Kevlar Fusion laminate consists of a urethane resin system along with a thin layer of exterior UV shield. The exterior layer of polyester with S-Glass and Kevlar cloth layers sandwich a foam cored ribbing system. This laminate is then fused with a high impact, flexible urethane acrylate resin that is injected during a high pressure infusion process to give optimal dispersion as well as laminate consistency. The Carbon Kevlar gunwales (trim) are foam cored for structure as well as buoyancy and are integrated into the moulding process to ensure a strong bond between the hull and the gunwales it also helps to increases the hull stiffness.
