Valley Etain

The Valley Etain is the ideal long-distance sea and touring kayak for paddlers who want a consistent feeling sea kayak whether heavy laden for a multi-day expedition or just out on a day paddle. Its long waterline length carries a just enough rocker to maintain speed and predictability should conditions turn for the worse.

Designed to a neutral hull form with a shallow to moderate V that gives a great feeling of initial stability, providing paddlers a feeling of balance and predictability in a range of conditions. Valley have put the widest point of the Etain in line with the paddler’s hips, this location maintains predictability for a rewarding paddle stroke.

To enable efficient expedition paddling Valley have really packed the deck with a wide range of super handy features. 2 large oval storage hatches with sealed bulkheads are found at the front and rear, a smaller bulkheaded round hatch just behind the paddler, and a round hatch in front of the paddler that is perfect for daily essentials. Front and rear on deck lines and bungees provide the perfect place to fit deck bags, scabbards and other kit whilst keeping it in easy reach. Valley have even fitted a retractable rear skeg, perfect for keeping you going straight even during cross winds and currents.

Overall, the Valley Etain is the ideal expedition and multi-day sea kayak which is exceptionally capable in a range of waters and conditions.

The Etain is available in 3 sizes to provide the perfect fit for smaller, mid-size and larger paddlers. Available as standard in 2 constructions, GRP or a lighter weight Kevlar Carbon composite.
