Gumotex Thaya

The Gumotex Thaya is a top of the range two person inflatable kayak from Gumotex. It's great for paddling on lakes, rivers and calmer coastal conditions. Featuring a high pressure Dropstitch floor, Nitrilon hull and adjustable Dropstitch seats to accommodate 1, 2 or 3 paddlers.

The super strong and lightweight Nitrilon fabric combined with the latest Dropstitch technology produces a strong, rigid kayak in moving water up to Grade 2, but also a comfortable experience for more sedate cruising. Dropstitch is constructed from thousands of nylon strands which hold the shape of the kayak floor to allow much more pressure (up to 7 PSI) creating a more rigid and efficient hull design. The seats are also constructed from Dropstitch which makes them better to brace across the hull and also much more supportive than normal inflatable kayak seats.

The Thaya can easily seat 2 adults and one child in an optional centre seat. The seats can be repositioned in a two person or one person configuration, stll allowing plenty of space to secure dry bags to the included loops and bungees. If additional protection from rougher water is needed there is an optional front spray cover. Finally, at the end of the day the deflated Thaya can be rolled up and packed into the included fully waterproof transport bag / Rucksack which will ensure that the boot of your car or camper van stays dry. This can also be used for portaging the kayak between waterways.
