The Nova Craft Pal 16 is a phenomenal companion for paddlers who are looking for a craft to go anywhere, and will easily take two passengers but is as comfortable for solo use, thanks to a symmetrical hull shape. A canoe which is perfectly suited for flat water trips and paddling on scenic trips, the Pal 16' is a boat which will do it all. With a minimal rocker profile and shallow arch on the bottom of the hull, the Pal is capable of handling rougher waters, and will happily run simple sections of moving water, while still feeling comfortable and easy to control in windy conditions, a unique trait.

With a reassuring waterline, and freeboard the Pal 16 glides on every paddle stroke and maintains a heading with minimal corrective strokes, while the slight tumblehome helps keep you dry. A noteworthy top speed, thanks in part to the narrow beam, the Pal 16' will eat up the miles and allow for longer journeys to be completed with ease even in adverse weather conditions. It is a brilliant boat for touring the UK in, be that on Welsh Canals, English Lakes or Scottish lochs.

With plenty of space on board, the canoe could be outfitted with a kneeling thwart to help with solo paddling or an additional third seat to make it a true family canoe, or loaded up with kit for overnight trips. Fitted with two nylon bootlaced seats as standard, a deluxe ergonomic yoke for even weight distribution across your shoulders if carrying solo, carry handles at either end, and built in buoyancy tanks, the Pal is ready to hit the water.

Nova Crafts cutting edge TuffStuff material is a blend of both lightweight and durable, suited best to calm water tripping but with more than enough strength to handle some abuse in the back country. A basalt and Innegra cloth is infused with high impact resistant resin to give a tough finish, with a polished gel coat lacquer the Pal is a fantastic looking canoe.

Originally this model was called the Ajax, but the affection which owners have felt lead to the canoe being renamed Pal, it's part of the family and it only takes paddling one to completely understand why.
