The Pelican Explorer 14.6 DLX is the widest and most stable family canoe we supply, made of RAM-X impact resistant material, this canoe is durable and built to last. It is ideally suited for use on the local canal, reservoirs for nature spotting, lakes, lochs and gentle flowing rivers or even a trip on safe sheltered coastal waters. Designed with comfort for leisurely paddling in mind the Explorer 14.6 is a great entry level canoe suitable for paddlers of all ages.

The Pelican 146 comes equipped with two folding backrests, at bow and stern, providing a comfortable paddling position for yourself and another passenger be that a friend or member of family, with ample room for pets too, there is also a central bench seat featuring an insulated cooler style box under the hinged lid. This seat can either accommodate a third smaller paddler or be used for solo paddling to maintain trim. The Explorer is simple to paddle and affordable to purchase. With a maximum capacity of 363kg it can carry plenty of kit even enough for a few days camping.

Some of the features the Explorer 14.6 DLX include as standard are built in carry handles for easy lifting, drinks holders built into each seat allow for quick and easy access to hydration. If you fancy a spot of fishing the canoe offers 4 fishing rod holders. The canoe features aluminium gunwales with protective sleeves, and some hidden buoyancy in the base of both folding seats. 

This canoe can be easily transported on a car roof rack, making it perfect for taking on family holidays and adventures.
